Iya Villania is thrilled to co-host ‘I Dare You’

by: Napoleon Quintos

TV host/actress Iya Villania is very excited that her upcoming project I Dare You will combine two of her loves: hosting and drama. Iya described I Dare You as very different from the usual reality shows that viewers have seen on TV. I Dare You will challenge people to live the lives of others, try what normal people had to do just to survive.”

I Dare You is the first collaboration between two productions teams within ABS-CBN, namely the entertainment unit and the News and Current Affairs group. “‘Yung malaking reality element ng I Dare You dun papasok ang News and Current Affairs. Meaning hindi ito scripted. Case study siya so everything about this is real,” said Iya who is currently seen as host of Umagang Kay Ganda and as a VJ on MYX Music Channel.

I Dare You will feature celebrities as they try to take over the everyday lives of normal people. When the challenge is successfully accomplished, the chosen guest will win a prize while the celebrity will take home something more meaningful. Iya shared, “Ang premyo talaga dito pinaghihirapan ng mga celebrities for themselves, but para sa isang bidang Kapamilya. ‘Yung mga subject ang makakatanggap ng premyo, ang matatanggap ng mga challengers is the experience. Sa tingin ko kapag nagawa mo na ‘yung challenge sa I Dare You, magiiba na ‘yung tingin mo sa buhay. ‘Yun ang mas mahalagang premyo.”

Aside from Iya, I Dare You will also be hosted by Jericho Rosales and Melai Cantiveros. Iya talked about what will be the distinct contribution of the wacky Melai in the program.

Matteo Guidicelli says he admires Toni Gonzaga’s hosting skills

by: Rhea Manila Santos

As a regular mainstay of Happy Yipee Yehey, actor-model Matteo Guidicelli admitted that the daily variety show has helped him improve in a lot of ways. “It’s a cool show, we make people happy and we’re just having fun. I don’t know exactly what has improved (laughs). Siguro yung Tagalog ko is improving with Happy Yipee Yehey. Masaya naman sa show kahit nabubulol ako or whatever, tatawanan lang ng tao. It’s just fun and they accept you for who you are and you can show your real self on the show. You don’t have to be showbiz or hide or anything. Just be yourself and sana they like it,” he shared during the Star Magic anniversary music video shoot held at Abrakadabra studios in Makati.

The 22-year-old Cebuano admitted he enjoyed being part of the video, which features Star Magic’s anniversary jingle “Ikaw Ang Magic ng Buhay Ko,” which was composed and sung by fellow Star Magic talent Yeng Constantino and directed by Paul Soriano. “Masaya ako kasi it’s my first time to work with Direk Paul (Soriano). I love Direk Paul, he’s a cool guy. I work with Toni (Gonzaga) for Happy Yipee Yehey so I’ve heard a lot about him. He’s very simple and it’s an honor to work with him,” he shared.

Matteo shared that admires the talented couple and he also looks up to Toni when it comes to her hosting skills. “She’s so talented. One day I want to speak like her. Kapag may idiot board, maraming mga salita dyan, parang she picks it up so easily and she’s very witty. She’s very smart. Toni’s very intelligent. Tinutulungan naman niya ako. She’s a very, very nice person. I didn’t know her that well before pero now I’m with her everyday and I got to know her closer and she’s an amazing person. She’s a perfect person. She’s really nice,” he stressed.

After signing up with Star Magic last year, Matteo said he feels grateful for the opportunities given to him by Star Magic heads Johnny Manahan and Mariole Alberto. “It’s a blessing to be part of Star Magic. Dati hindi ako Star Magic eh. Pagbalik ko galing America last, last December, they got me tapos they gave me Agua Bendita agad. They’re amazing people. Mr.M and Tita Mariole are like family to me. They’re always there for you if you have problems. Mr. M critiques you all the time to make you a better person and talagang parang pamilya yung Star Magic. Tapos yung mga handlers naming lahat parang pamilya talaga. Ang bait nilang lahat,” he explained.

Aside from his daily stint on Happy Yipee Yehey, Matteo is also busy preparing for Binondo Girl his upcoming show with Kim Chiu, a movie with Maja Salvador, as well as promoting his first digital single. “A different Matteo is going to come out there. I’ve never done this before so I’m excited for that. I also have another movie coming out soon called Basted. It’s with me and Maja. I’m very, very excited for that and I have a single out, it’s called ‘Someone Like You,’ under Star Records,” he added.

With a lot of promising projects, Matteo admitted he is very lucky to be paired with two good actresses. “I worked with Kim for my first ever project with ABS-CBN called Go Kada Go and Kim and Gerald (Anderson) just came out from PBB (Pinoy Big Brother). I think I’m closer to Maja now. We’re close. We used to work everyday and stuff. And then I’m going to work with Kim again soon. They already started taping, baka ako in two weeks pa. masarap din to work with Kim. She’s very professional. She’s cool,” he said.

by: Rachelle Siazon

Maja Salvador claimed that she’s really flattered that Matteo Guidicelli is very vocal about his admiration of her not only in press interviews, but even in his live appearances in Happy Yippee Yehey! (HYY).

But the pretty actress clarified that it’s not enough reason for people to assume that they are in a relationship. She also stressed that she’s not committed to anyone at the moment. Desisyon niya yun, karapatan niya yun. As long as wala pa naman naapektuhan, wala pa naman akong ibang karelasyon, wala pang nagmamay-ari sa akin.”

When prodded that she might only reveal the real score between them once they’ve broken up already, Maja let it slip that it’s only a matter of time before she agrees to become Matteo’s girlfriend. However, Maja corrected herself later on.

Maja confessed that there are actually a lot of guys who are making her feel special right now. It just so happened that Matteo’s the most vocal of them. “Marami akong special friends.

But is it safe to say that Matteo has all the qualities that she’s looking for in a potential boyfriend? Ganon.”

Ai-Ai de las Alas says Vic Sotto agreed to have a kissing scene with her in their movie

by: Bernie Franco

I love Boy Abunda, I love Ama, so much,” pambawi ni Ai-Ai later on sa interview.

“Within our lifetime,” joke ni Ai-Ai.

Angel Locsin to Fly Again as 'Darna' in ABS-CBN?!

Now that the Kapamilya network acquires the right to 13 of the hit Mars Ravelo's creations including "Darna" and "Dyesebel", speculation is now spreading like a wild fire that Ms. Angel Locsin will once more portray the said role!

While still in GMA-7 way back in 2005, Angel first portrayed the said role in a TV series. And that was the very first time that"Darna" flew in Philippine television. And it got a very high record-breaking TV ratings which really pulled-up the Primetime block of the Kapuso network. In 2009, Marian Rivera reprise the said role but didn't surpassed the hit done by Angel!

The role of "Darna" truly fits Angel Locsin! Based on the different online surveys, Angel Locsin is the best "Darna" ever! Million people even requested Angel to fly again as "Darna!"

If ABS-CBN will offer the said role to Angel, do you want her to accept again the said role?! If not, who would you like to reprise the role of this famous Pinay superhero?!

There are also rumors that ABS-CBN will bring "Darna" not anymore in a Primetime TV series. Rather, it will be on a big screen, a 2012 MMFF entry! Nice! Hmmm...do you think this will be the next big movie project of Angel Locsin under Star Cinema right after "In the Name of Love" and "MMK The Movie"?! And who do you want to be her leading man?! c",)
