Coleen Garcia is no longer on ITS SHOWTIME?

According to ABS-CBNnews, Coleen Garcia admitted  she will not be returning to part of ITS SHOWTIME at this time and will be focusing on her acting career this 2016.  She already has an upcoming untitled Star Cinema film with Piolo Pascual and Dawn Zulueta in the works and playing Jaime Elizondo on the daytime hit serye Pasion de Amor.

Coleen was quoted as saying: "Actually, I was barely ever there during the entire second half of 2015"I don't think I'll be returning. Management talked to me and they want me to focus on acting."

Coleen Garcia has been a part of ITS SHOWTIME for a little over 3 years now and is currently dating ITS SHOWTIME main host Billy Crawford.

Diether Ocampo and Claudine Barretto reunite in a TV5 soap!

Why is this not on ABS-CBN? Not sure how this one will rate on the Kapatid network but Vic del Rosario, head of Viva Entertainment confirmed that Claudine and Diether will reunite on a soap dubbed Bakit Manipis ang Ulap,named after the 1985 film by the same name.

 It will also star Cesar Montano and Kapamilya young star Meg Imperial. It is scheduled for first quarter of 2016.

Star Magic artists now Pag-Ibig Fund members

Star Magic artists marked the group's 19th anniversary by joining the government's Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), more popularly known as the Pag-Ibig Fund.

On Sunday, more than 90 Star Magic artists formally and officially became members of the Pag-Ibig Fund.

HDMF chief executive officer Atty. Darlene Berberabe said the stars are mandated by law to be members of HDMF.

"(You know) because of the law passed in 2009 na nagsabi na mandatory ang coverage ng Pag-Ibig Fund membership including the self-employed, ang [ginawa nitong] ating mga artista [ay] isang napakagandang move para maka-boost (ng membership). Kasi maraming nag-i-idolo sa ating mga artista kaya very important, very momentous ito para sa Pag-Ibig Fund," Berberabe said.

Stars like actor Jake Cuenca said the tie-up between Star Magic and HDMF is a really good move for artists.

"It's mandatory na for all of us artists to pay Pag-Ibig which is very, very good. Kami naman we are just really proud to support Pag-Ibig Fund. It's a good cause," Cuenca said.

Top stars take part in Star Magic’s 19th anniversary celebration

Ipinagdiriwang ngayon ng Star Magic ang ika-19 na anibersaryo nito. Ang Star Magic ay ang talent arm ng ABS-CBN kung saan nanggaling ang karamihan sa mga pinakasikat na artista ngayon. Kasabay ng nasabing 19th anniversary ng Star Magic ay ang pag-launch ng kanilang website na www.starmagic.ph at ang kanilang music video na ini-launch sa ASAP Rocks last Sunday.

Samantala, isang party rin ang ginanap sa ELJ Building kahapon para sa nasabing okasyon na dinaluhan ng mga Star Magic talents. Bumati rin ang ilan sa mga sikat na artista ngayon na kung hindi dahil sa Star Magic ay hindi sila makikilala.

“After PBB, malaking tulong ang Star Magic sa career namin, sa personal life (namin),” ani Gerald Anderson.

Sinabi naman ni Kim Chiu na tumayong magulang nila ang founder ng Star Magic na si Mr. Johnny Manahan o kilala bilang Mr. M at ang vice president ng talent arm na si Mariole Alberto. “Hindi lang pagiging artista, nandyan sina Mr. M at Ms Mariole para sa ‘min, para i-guide kami sa kahit anong paraan. Sila ang mom and dad namin sa showbiz.”

“Thank you so much sa pag-alalay sa ‘min, sa pagtulong sa pag-abot ng mga pangarap namin, thank you so much,” sabi naman ni Pokwang.

Dagdag naman ni John Lloyd Cruz, “Bukod kay Mr. M at Tita Mariole, sa lahat ng handlers na nag-aalaga sa amin, sa lahat ng mga road managers, namin salamat ho sa inyo.”

Dahil kontrobersyal na aktres, kaya nagpasalamat ng lubos si Angelica Panganiban sa pagpoprotekta sa kanya ng Star Magic. “Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng taon na ibinigay n’yo sa akin. Sa lahat ng pagproprotekta, sa lahat ng umaapaw na pagmamahal na ipinaramdam n’yo sa ‘min. Sila ang tumayong magulang namin dito.”

Sabi naman ng isa sa mga senior talents ng Star Magic na si Piolo Pascual, “Sobrang malaking pasasalamat sa tatay namin sa Star Magic, si Mr. Johnny Manahan at nanay namin Tita Mariole, sila ang nagpapatatag ng puso namin, sila ‘yung nagbibigay sa amin ng lakas ng loob to be the best that we can be and also our handlers. Lahat ng mga handlers na from the beginning sila ang naghirap sa schedules namin sa pakikipag-negotiate sa mga kontrata namin, sa lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay namin. Bago pa kami lumabas sila muna. Sila ang wind beneath our wings.”

MANILA, Philippines -- Star Magic is 19: Where else but on ABS-CBN, on a fine Sunday morning, can you find the likes of Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, Diether Ocampo, KC Concepcion, Sam Milby, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson together under one production number?



The country’s most glamorous stars, also talented actors, gather once more on “ASAP Rocks” June 26 to celebrate the 19th anniversary of Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN to which they owe their success.

Under the stewardship of veteran TV director Johnny Manahan, Star Magic has steered the careers of these stars, members of the ruling class in today’s entertainment industry.

In fact, 300 of them artists belonging to Star Magic are featured in a music video set to premiere also on “ASAP Rocks.”

The MTV is based on a song, “Ikaw Ang Magic Ng Buhay Ko,” expressly written for the occasion by Yeng Constantino. Some 300 artists in varying degrees of popularity, name recall or stardom, are featured in the 10-minute video directed by Paul Soriano.

Manahan announced that on top of the celebration on “ASAP” and the music video, Star Magic is also mounting a fashion show and a new website.

On it, fans can view artists’ pages, behind the scenes shots of events and updates on their favorite stars. Those interested can also audition on-line. The site can be reached via www.starmagic.ph.

A Star Magic’s anniversary music video featuring over three hundred stars were also created for the event. All had fun as they cry, dance, laugh and sing their heart out as if they were auditioning on cam.

Talented Yeng Constantino is the composer and singer of "Ikaw Ang Magic ng Buhay Ko"- the official theme song of Star Magic music video.

"I feel like a family sa Star Magic kaya naman hindi ako nagdalawang-isip na gawin ang kanta. Siyempre inspirasyon ko ang masaya at magandang samahan namin sa Star Magic," Yeng shares.

"Ikaw Ang Magic ng Buhay Ko" is arranged by Marvin Querido.

Known director Paul Soriano had no second thoughts of doing the music video. He was excited to work with Star Magic stars.

"I wanted them to act naturally and have fun during our three days shoot. I’m sure they’ll all enjoy our music video", says Paul.

A grand dance and song number of Star Magic’s biggest names headed by Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Angelica Panganiban, Diether Ocampo, KC Concepcion, Sam Milby, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson will add more glitter to Star Magic’s 19th anniversary.

A mini-fashion will also showcase their stylized jeans and shirts designed by country’s known designers.

Noong Linggo ay ipinagdiwang ang Father’s Day pero hindi nakapag-celebrate si Piolo Pascual dahil hindi pa raw dumadating sa bansa ang kanyang anak na si Inigo. “My son is arriving sometime soon. Unfortunately, hindi siya umabot sa Father’ Day. Of course we’ll have a delayed Father’s Day celebration when he gets here for summer,” pahayag ni Piolo.

Samantala, masaya naman ang aktor dahil nakatanggap ng platinum award ang kanyang album na Decades 2. “Maraming salamat sa Star Records, ang tagal kong hinintay ito. Actually overwhelmed sa support, this is of course the album that is closest to my heart. Being my 7th studio recording. Star Magic 19th Anniversary Celebration This Sunday on ASAP Rocks; Launches "Ikaw ang Magic ng Buhay Ko" Music Video

A music video. A fashion show. A new website.

These are only a few of the highlights of the 19th anniversary celebration of the country's premiere stable of talents, Star Magic.

Preparations for this grand event started two months in advance, with Yeng Constantino taking on the songwriting task, which she easily accomplished in two days.

Titled "Ikaw ang Magic ng Buhay Ko," the concept for the fun music video soon followed, and was shot under the direction of Paul Soriano.

The 10-minute material, featuring over 300 of Star Magic's brightest stars, is a way of saying thank you to those who have been supporting the Kapamilya's homegrown and honed talents.

Meanwhile, the mini-fashion show will also be staged alongside a Full Circle production number in ASAP Rocks, where Star Magic's prime artists John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo, KC Concepcion, Angelica Panganiban, Kim Chiu, and Gerald Anderson will be clad in dress-up-your-own-shirts.

Styled by the country's known designers, the shirts will also be available at ABS-CBN's Studio Store as a unique commemorative item for the 19th anniversary.

And last but not the least, Star Magic is launching its official website, where avid fans can view artists' pages, behind-the-scenes photos of events, updates on their favorite stars and even audition online!

Vice Ganda loves his continuing friendships with Jon Avila, Kean Cipriano, Xian Lim, & Andrew Wolff

Having two shows on ABS-CBN, an album, and an upcoming concert at the Araneta Coliseum, Vice Ganda seems to be having it all in terms of career. But what about in his love life? “Madami akong inspirasyon. Madami akong boys. Ayyy!” the comedian laughingly told reporters after his contract signing with ABS-CBN for his solo show Gandang Gabi Vice.

Vice was further probed about his relationship with the different male celebrities who once graced Showtime as judges. During the respective stay of these guest hurados, Vice let go of the inhibitions and flirted with them, much to the enjoyment of the studio audience and viewers. He explained, “Ginamit naman talaga namin ‘yun para pakiligin ang mga tao. Napansin kasi namin noon na nage-enjoy ang mga tao sa harutan namin kaya pinaglaruan na rin namin.”

Vice has managed to keep his friendship with these hot guys. The comedian/host shared, “Si Jon (Avila), Kean (Cipriano), Xian (Lim), Andrew (Wolff), sila ‘yung hindi naputol ang friendship. ‘Yung arte namin sa Showtime dinere-direcho namin sa labas. Minsan magkakatext kami na magkita and lumabas. Ganun pa rin ang tawag nila sa akin. Si Jon tawag sa akin Be, si Xian tawag niya Hon, si Kean tawag sa akin Sweetcorn. Minsan kapag si Kean hinaharot ako sa Twitter, magagalit si Xian. Hindi siya papayag. Hindi ko naman sila masisisi. Ha ha ha!

“Okay naman si Jon. Magkasama kami lagi, naguusap. Iba si Jon. Forever ko nang love ‘yan. Si Kean hindi kami masyadong nagkikita lately. Bumubongga rin kasi ang career niyan. ‘Yung isang kanta sa album ko siya ang gumawa. Kay Xian naman nahihiya ako kasi parang hindi ko na naibabalik ‘yung pagmamahal niya sa akin. Charing!”

However, Vice couldn’t help but miss former Showtime guest judge, basketball star Paolo Hubalde, now that they’ve lost touch. “Wala na si Paolo. Ha ha ha! Nung isang araw pumunta kami ni Ryan Bang sa Italianni’s. Nandun si Paolo. Hindi na lang ako pumasok. Na-miss ko siya e, ha ha ha!”

Now he has begun to accept that maybe he is not meant to be friends with Paolo. “Ang tagal na naming hindi nagte-text, hindi nagkikita. Wala lang. Sa dami ng imbitasyon ko sa kanya ang dami niyang tinanggihan, ha ha ha! Feel ko tuloy siguro hindi na nga kami magtutuloy. ‘Yung iba kasi dire-diretso ang friendship, hindi lang para makapagpakilig sa Showtime. Hindi ako galit sa kanya. Hindi na nga lang talaga hahaba ‘yung friendship namin. Busy rin kasi siya sa basketball, practice araw-araw. Iba ang mundo niya.”

Vice wasn’t shy about confessing that he has special feelings towards these guys more than their friendship. “‘Yung mga baklang friends ko inaaway ako. Lahat daw ng gusto nila sa akin na kumo-close. Ang laya-laya kong nakakasama at nakaka-date sila. Nade-develop talaga ako sa kanila. Ang plastic naman kung sasabihin kong hindi. Inencourage din naman kasi nila. Ha ha ha! Okay lang naman kasi sa kanilang ma-emote ako sa kanila.”

The comedian further admitted that he is willing to give anything just to have a romance with any among Jon, Kean, Xian, and Andrew. “Kahit sino sa apat na ‘yan ang makuha ko pwede na. Ha ha! Kahit lokohin nila ako. Siguro kung may humingi sa kanila ng kotse, baka ibigay ko talaga!”

Boardwalk’s 20th anniversary was a star-studded affair

Last June 18, the Araneta Coliseum was transformed into a fantasy world as Boardwalk celebrated its 20th anniversary called “One Big Show” and featured their different celebrity endorsers as well as 100 of the freshest faces in the modeling world who competed in Boardwalk’s new Faces of Fashion contest. The venue was packed with guests from the media and the corporate world, as well as Boardwalk distributors from all over the country. The show started off with Billy Crawford singing his hit song “Bright Lights” while showing off some of his dance moves.

Kris Aquino, who recently renewed her contract to be a Boardwalk endorser for the next two years, dropped by to congratulate the success of the company as well as to introduce fashion designer Avel Bacudio, who designed a new line of denim jeans for Boardwalk. “Let’s look forward to not just 20 more years but 200 more years of success!” she shared with the enthusiastic crowd. This was followed by a Roman empire-inspired number which featured Coco Martin, Julia Montes, and a shirtless Jake Cuenca who showed off his chiseled abs.

Rachelle Ann Go performed popular US hits like “Firework” and “Price Tag” to usher in Boardwalk’s newest collections. Jean Garcia wore a sexy gown onstage for the JG collection, Ryan Agoncillo was in a casual and cool racer outfit for the Ryan Collection while Cherry Pie Picache was given a crown and scepter as rightful queen of the BW Plus collection which was also modeled by beauty titlists from various generations like Patty Betita, Isabel Roces, Alma Concepcion, Lyka Ugarte, Lou Bunyi, Deborah Sun, Joyce Ann Burton, and Gem Padilla.

Bangs Garcia introduced the BW Intimate Apparel collection in a Burlesque-inspired number along with the rest of Boardwalk’s sexy male and female models. Nikki Gil sang Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” to usher in the Cosmopolitan collection. Other celebrity endorsers who graces the show include Assunta de Rossi for the Corporate Chic collection, Matteo Guidicelli for BW Boys, and Rich Asuncion. The Price is Right’s Rich Hardin and Rich Herrera also showcased the BW Ang Bayan Collection.

One of the main highlights of the grand variety show was the unveiling of Boardwalk’s celebrity designer jeans collection by Avel Bacudio. Derek Ramsay showed up onstage with the celebrity fashion designer hand-painting his jeans on the spot. The sporty celeb went shirtless with nothing but white jeans and black wings. Derek was then fitted with a harness that had him in mid-air for a more dramatic effect. The show also featured Powerdance, Philippine Island Assasins, and other runway professionals.

MANILA, Philippines - The Fernandez brothers--Rap and Renz--both signed contracts under ABS-CBN's Star Magic on Tuesday.

In an interview during the contract signing, the sons of the late actor Rudy Fernandez expressed their happiness in being part of ABS-CBN's elite group of stars.

"Masaya po. Masaya. Feeling ko at home ako sa ABS-CBN. At sa ABS-CBN ang the best so doon tayo sa the best," Renz said.

The brothers also extended their appreciation to all the people who supported them and gave them the chance to be Kapamilya stars.

"Thank you, ABS-CBN, for everyting, for the opportunity," Renz said.

"Thank you to everyone responsible, to all the people here. Umaapaw ang pasasalamat sa loob ng puso ko. Ang buong buhay ko ay isang malaking paghahanda para sa sandaling ito. Pangarap ko talagang maging parte ng industriyang ito," Rap added.

The brothers were accompanied by their manager-mother, Lorna Tolentino, who also revealed her utmost trust in the Kapamilya network.

"Napakahusay ng ABS-CBN lalo na sa pag-aalaga ng artista nila. Kampante ako na dito sila magtatrabaho," Tolentino said.

Born Renz Marion Tolentino Fernandez, Renz already appeared in ABS-CBN's "Your Song Presents: Kim," while his elder brother Rap was part of "Buhawi Jack."
